The release from suffering is based on seeing clearly for oneself the action of the body and mind in the present moment.
About Our Association
We are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization whose goal is to offer access to teachings and provide resources for the practice of Mahasati Insight meditation, the dynamic vipassana practice developed by the 20th-century Thai meditation master Luangpor Teean Jittasubho. We publish a monthly newsletter containing teachings by Dhamma teachers in this tradition. We are also affiliated with two practice centers in the United States—one in Redding, CT, and the other in Wenham, MA—through which weekly meditation practice and retreats are regularly offered, including a weekly Zoom practice group.

We host weekly Zoom practice and Dhamma discussion sessions. These are usually led by Dr. Michael Bresnan, but also include monthly guest teachings by prominent Thai monastic and lay meditation masters from Luangpor Teean’s lineage of practice.
-
Join us for a one-day retreat which are offered monthly at the Center for Mindfulness & Insight Meditation located at 9 Picketts Ridge Rd, Redding, CT 06896, USA. There are a limited number of beds available for those traveling from afar.
-
The way to set up the mind for the deeper practice of Mahasati meditation is subtle. The best way to learn the practice, and/or deepen it, is to attend a retreat that allows for the continuous development of mindfulness. Please consider joining one of our residential or commuter retreats offered at least twice each year.
